How to get a tank
Open the shop (F3 or !shop), choose the tank and press "Take": taking is free, the money goes when you place it. Aim at level ground near your base - a green silhouette means the spot fits, E puts it down, R cancels. It assembles for a few seconds and cannot be hurt while it shimmers.
A tank is yours: nobody else gets in. It stays on the map as long as you are alive - everything a player has built goes with his death - and the map itself restarts every two hours, buildings included; the money stays.
Driving and firing
Walk up to your tank, look at it and hold R: your body is hidden inside the hull, your eyes are in a camera behind the turret. W and S drive, A and D turn the hull; the turret and the gun follow the mouse at their own pace. The left button fires once the gun has come round; the shell bursts on what it hits, buildings included, and a direct hit is death. The right button opens the gunner's sight. R again gets you out, beside the tank.
It is heavy: it climbs a kerb but not a wall, and it does not swim. What it runs into is worked out honestly - a box in the way stops it.
What kills a tank
It has hit points like any building and shows them to whoever shoots it. Bullets chip it slowly; what really hurts is a mine under it, a kamikaze drone from above, a Grad salvo on the spot where it stands, and the shells of another tank. A tank destroyed with somebody inside takes him with it.
Against a tank: mine the roads it uses, keep a drone in the air, and do not stand in a heap - one shell takes a heap.
Advice
- Fire from behind cover and back off to reload your nerves: the gun turns slower than a player does.
- A tank near your own turrets is a base; a tank alone in the open is a target for drones.
- The right-button sight is for far shots; up close the plain camera sees more.
